Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

LOL, I think you're right, Errol, he's probably laughing at these silly humans and their funny cameras!! Are these lava trees just on one part of the mountain, or are they everywhere?

Marilyn...I've seen lava trees in other areas of the volcano but I think you have a whole lot more on this Keanakako'i Crater trail. This side of the crater is just full of them. Thanks for asking....Aloha

Okay okay so it was a prairie dog instead of a ferret L Well they do kinda look similar. I agree with fredster. This is a wonderful series and I look forward to other photos if you have them S

What a great imagination, Errol. I can just imagine a colony of prairie dogs in one of the big lava flows. I'm enjoying these, too. Keep them coming.
