Description
Having an ideal terrain for constructing their cities, a group of space travelers, centuries ago, began a long and enduring project of establishing a colony here on Foile II, to sustain themselves for thousands of years. Unknown to them at the time, this planet was experiencing a breakdown of its atmosphere...a complete collapse of any barrier between their sun and the penetrating heat which ultimately began to evaporate their water source and eventually their total existence. The still, unfinished framework of their planned recreational facility complete with existing water and eventual landscaping is now but a memory. The glass domes, so hot inside, now, remain empty and lifeless. The civilization has moved on and its relics remain forever on this lifeless planet.

This is a superb image...beautifully rendered and so incredibly crisp. The write up that accompanies it is profound on so many levels and it adds to the image itself, making the whole piece into a nicely emotional work of sf art. Great work on every level here, and the writer in me is REALLY interested in any stories concerning this civilization and where they went.

I like the depth of field, viewpoint and absolute clarity and reality on this render. You could be there. The copy needs a bit of work (perhaps give the planet a name?) and its there!
