Thank you all for your comments. I didn't notice this bug giving off any type of smell. By the way I got a couple of great shots of the leaf after it flew off.

I love the way the darker green of the bug sets it apart from the lighter green leaf -- most of the time that would be boring but somehow you've made it work. The soft lighting may've helped. Great job.
