Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Just like Chocolate eh?, I used to be out there just like the rest, driving my big truck showing the ladies my chest It's like everything else though, when you get old You wrap up in warm blankets to stop being cold. Now look what you've done Marilyn, this writing thing is contagious.lol. Beautiful prose again Marilyn and oh so true. Bravo!!!!!

And you know, Marilyn, those tanning salons and tanning beds just don't have the same effect as the warmth of the sun. Yea, now it's don't go out without your SPF 60+.

Ehhhhh yuck, skin cancer a-go-go! Now, instead of beach bums and bunnies, I believe they're now referred to as jocks and bimbos....not my interpretation, so don't lay it on me!

lots of things that feel good are bad for us, roasting one's self is one of them!

This is fantastic, and it calls attention to one of the problems of contemporary western life...the Temperance Leagues of the past seem to have taken over, and suddenly "leathery skin" which ONCE meant that you spend time outdoors, NOW means something else. I blame Kate Moss! But enough of that, I love this piece! As always, it's fantastic.
