Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Oh yes like the Transformers need [Energon Cubes] for their energy.. Yet I know what you mean by all this and very well said! Cool photo of your mug + coffee as well :]

I know just where you are coming from with this. The first thing I do when I get up is switch on the coffee machine. A ten cup one, fresh ground coffee smells soooooooo good and tastes sooooooooooo good. It depends what time I roll out of the sack, sometimes I have ten cups(5 mugs) and sometimes I have twenty cups(10 mugs) a day. I don't know if you know Marilyn, but the best thing to wake you up in the morning((medical fact)or so I've heard) is an APPLE. I like mine cold and crisp, so has soon as I get back from the mart they go into the fridge. I eat about twenty or so in a week, plus other fruit. Excellent prose from you yet again, I'm on my second mug of the day. I can tell this is going to be a ten mug day. Bravo!!!!!

Yep! On my 3rd cup already this morning...I drink it black. Best way, I think. Can't imagine adding cream or sugar to this wonderful brew.

I haven't been drinking much coffee lately, but when Jill was here I dug out the coffee maker and bought some wonderful beans. I had a few cups, and remembered why I love the stuff so much! Mmmmmmmm. Do I need to tell you it's a good poem? You've got me (and everyone else) totally identifying with your topic. Now THAT is the mark of a good poem!

Coffee...Ambrosia. There is a difference? It's funny how preceptive and universal this piece of writing is. When I think of people drinking coffee (myself included) I'm reminded of people in the Dune novels of Frank Herbert, consuming mass quantities of Melange...the spice of spices. I guess in a real sense, Coffee IS something of the beverage of beverages...only it's more than that, and as I write this, I've also just found out that Starbucks Coffee has JUST opened their first franchise here in the Czech Republic. Okay, it's corporate coffee, but it's funny that I'd read YOUR piece on the exact day that I learned that I can NOW get coffee the way I used to in Chicago.
