Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Nicely written, my friend! We all have those sorts of choices to make from time to time, and I can certainly relate to this!

To many times we are cowards and always go down the road we know. it is good to come to those forks every once in a while and embark on a new journey. Very nice writting my friend :)

How often have we all stood here, it is so good to write of things which are familiar to everyone. Even if our decisions are different, as are our reasons for making them, we can all stand here in our minds and make them. Wonderful familiar feel.

Oft times, the unfamiliar road holds surprises beyond our wildest dreams.

This is deja vu, only yesterday on someone elses upload, the same question was asked, 'which way?' and it reminded me when my children were just kids, how we would jump in the car and go for a drive. When we came to a fork or crossroads or T junction, I would ask which way now, and one of them would choose which way to go. This would go on until we were lost, well they thought we were but dad always found the way back home. They used to love it, no matter which way we went, we always had fun. Excellent prose again Marilyn, you are going to have to write a book if you keep this up. Bravo!!!!!

Love your prose.

This is a wonderful bit of prose and the image reminds me of an album cover! Both the image and the words go so well together and the quality of the artwork is top notch as always. It has that same raw feel as your other stuff and it's just a perfect compliment to your words! In short, I like this a lot. Forked roads are interesting, scary, fun...and if you're not careful, they'll lead you to the weirdest parts of Prague--unless of course, they go elsewhere.
