Description

You know the reason for this Danny. Not got the full details for this particular Dennis, what I normally do is take a pic of the subject and then a macro of the plate with all the details, just so I don't have to write them down at the time. Unfortunately I missed this one. I think it is a 75ft escape thats mounted on it, I do know I have an old 35mm shot of it fully extended, I will have to dig that out. The Greater Manchester Fire Brigade Museum is housed at the Rochdale Station, and they are planning a Dennis Day some time soon, not sure if its March or May. I will be attending that one as there is supposed to be quite a few restored engines invited to display. Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make, I appreciate each and every one. May the sun shine down on you where ever you are. Brilliant sunshine here at the moment so sunshine hugs for all that need them. Oh the grey domelike object at the rear, is the bomb disposal device.

Awe thanks Jeff yes for those who are wondering my Father was named Dennis and was a Fireman and as a Child I was convinced they all belonged to him as they had his name on every engine!

Great capture, I'll have to take a look round these for myself Jeff, I know you said they let you in any Friday but they are not outside, I think I'll wait until a day they set them out in the yard.

is there anything more exciting in fire fighting than the ladder truck? I don't think so. Great shot.
