Description

"cypress house in the Atchabalaya Basin" is what I posted yesterday and I talked to some one who knows the owner. They really do sleep there at night on the week end lol. party and drink and fish lol. I did ask about this camp and he know not the people. The people who lives around here have these camps that just floats around the Basin and that it. They not made to go far and when they park them it there for a long time. They may move a few hundred yards and the it. most the time because they get into it with the neighors. Here you see some one got a life boat from I guess a offshore place and put it here for a camp. I saw this and laff and say "at lest he do not have to worry about storms he can ride out a hurrcane in this thing. lol" got a lot more shots of boat houses. Some people do live on them too.

Wow! I'd love to know more about this thing. He'll get seasick way before he'll get wet. :D The water doesn't look so much for swimming as for fishing, but I still imagine kids jumping off that dock and cooling off on the hottest days, and generally disturbing the peace.

Living on Bayous and Bays most of my life I often thought floating houses would be the best way to go. Sort of like a house boat but not a boat...a small floating home like this one. Great shot!

Very interesting series, Jock and what a change from the last shot! Yes, a hurricane wouldn't bother these folks, would it?! Great find!
