Description
Last week I took my family for a picnic in one of the planets in the Procyon system. This is not far, just about 11 light years from Earth. It's a binary system with a normal star and a white dwarf.
We had seen these statues before in a Galactic Geographic documentary and we thought it would be fun to watch them up close. Our kids had a good time climbing up on them (well, mainly my son). The gravity is only half of Earth's, so it wasn't too dangerous. This shot was taken by Roy, our android, from the top of a nearby hill. He can't cook but he sure takes nice photos with his zoom-eyes.
After the picnic, we took a nap in the comfortable shade of one of these statues. There was a cool gentle breeze blowing from the south.
It was a nice time and we are already making plans to return there soon because my son was fascinated with something mysterious he saw in the distance...

Wonderfull concept and design. The easter-island-esq nature is cool. I think a better sand texture would help, however. (or have a little rubble about..seems too flat)

Nice! I like the deformed Air-shuttle from Star Wars! LOL Sure looks different shrunk in the Z axis! Well set-up and posed. The 'feel' is otherworldly. Wonderful work!

You got the right feeling in the image. Some kind of "Easter Island meets SF". The mood fit's great, the double stars work well to make the scenery alien. Great work.

Great image and story! Two tiny nits: Aspect ratio on the moons look a little squashed, not sure if that was intentional. And if they're lit on both sides like that, shouldn't there be two sets of shadows on the ground too, one from each star?

A fine render, fairly surreal with the scene and colours, as mentioned reminiscent of the Easter Island heads, the clarity is awesome.

Yeah, your android does take nice shots. Wonderful. Did you use the newly opened interstellar bypass to get there? I heard it's expensive but cuts down significantly on time spent in the crion chambers. Not so bad a headache when you wake. BTW, really like your new SpaceFrame 1200 Cruiser...hope to get one myself someday!

great story - the beginning of a new narrative? if so, i can't wait to see what happens next. the ground is incredible, and the composition is great. i love the heads. Zbrush? the only thing i could see improving this is messy elements, like sand in different places on the heads, especially the fallen one, foot prints, etc. but i don't think anyone misses them. as always, love your work.
