Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

very interesting composition.I am itching to leave on a trip. a man was saved from a gun shot by a dvd he had in his pocket.the bullet was shot at someone else and past through a wall and hit him.only bruising was his only injury.so keep your cd's handy!!!

You need nothing more, except maybe some hiking boots and water. ;))) You're giving me wanderlust again, Marilyn.

This is a positively dreamy image! I love the sense of color and the soft focus around the borders of this piece. The colors are amazing and there's such an implication of warmth and freedom; those are two things that seem all too rare in this world, but you've captured them here and presented them stunningly. And yeah, you've got Nina Simone in your travel tunes...THAT is an ultra-plus! As for me, I'm on something of a prolonged Patti Smith kick.

Fun in the sun...riding the highway...breaking out of the pack... all the cool things a bike can do for a body. Strogn use of color and nice creative shot.

On the Road Again, with Willie Nelson...but how about Johnny Cash, and some oldies from the 1920s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s? Kind of a dreamy effect captured in this photo, Marilyn. Remember the scenes in FORREST GUMP, when he ran all the way across the country and back, attracting admirers along the way?

I really love how you arranged this - Awesome composure, and if I'm not mistaken you used some type of dreamy filter? post processing? What ever I feel it really enhances the over all feel and mood of this piece and I LOVE it! Outstanding Work, your best IMHO. Dave
