Description
This may be the first red thing I have posted. It certainly seems to be the only one that hasn't bled, making the reds look dreadful.'
I saw this miniature rose in my local garden shop today and thought I'd give red another try.
Thanks for your visit. Any and all advice is welcome. (All I did was crop and resize).

Great capture, very full and nice detail. Well done I took a few of a rose under my window last year and I don't know why but reds and whites are so difficult to capture any kind of definition to them, always just too much red etc.

This is very well done. I love the soft, velvet texture of the petals--beautifully captured. The lighting it just perfect, since it keeps the red balanced and visible, without turning it into a blob. Great work

Glad you tried again because you did do well with the color which is one of the most difficult.

Red IS the hardest colour to capture and to date, I still haven't mastered it, so my congrats straight off for such a stunning shot of this beautiful rose with gorgeous velvety petals. A lovely photo Chris. Hugs Chrissy xx

Nice macro, but it could have stood some postwork. And, red is a bear to master. I've had little or no success with it.
