BIO
Married, 2 kids, mostly happily employed. Found Rendo in the fall of 2004, though at this point I don't remember just how I ended up here anymore. Probably linked off a fantasy art site somewhere perhaps. Lurked and checked out all the cool artwork for a few months before downloading DAZ|Studio and trying my hand at a few images. Had enough fun with that and the luck to have worked a significant amount of overtime at the time to purchase Poser 5 & PSP9 without busting the budget. Do well enough in Poser, though not nearly as well as I'd like. There's just not enough time in the day to do it all. When not working, doing things with family or Posering I love to read Sci-Fi and Fantasy (mostly), play computer games and chat with friends online. I've yet to chat with anybody here. And while I'm on MSN quite frequently it's almost always with the ID that I run in my Harry Potter game. So, that being said, should you wish to converse, I can be reached on MSN at janussparhawkAThotmail.com (replace AT with @) I'd love to get to know you all more. :)

I did not get the chance to see the eclipse...but I'm glad I at least got to see these photos. Wrong settings or not, I like the dreamy quality you've captured here.

A Nice look at this Phenom!!!

The moon is a pretty bright object, being front lit fully by the sun- so generally you want an ISO around 100 and shutter speed around 125th of a second with an F stop around 11 or so- but obviously different combinations are possible. Most of the sky over us was obscured by clouds, so nothing really all the great to see for us unfortunately. Good shot though, and thanks for sharing!

nice capture John great one! I guess that needed some preparation, tripod and so on...

Fantastic John. Thanks for sharing this amazing scene.

Since the moon is reflecting sunlight, you have to expose for a daylight shot, as Jeff said above. The eclipse was difficult, because if you expose for the dark part, the bright part is blown out, and if you expose for the bright part, you can't even see the dark part. which was what I did. Google "Photograph lunar eclipse" for more details.

Great to see these - the eclipse was around 3am local time in the UK, and with work the next day, I gave it a miss - seen several previously though and it's always impressive! Thanks for sharing!

I was lucky enough to have our sky become completely clear for the event. I only went out when the dog needed, but I caught some of the beginning and while it was red. Very cool stuff.

Oh, I think there should be a cooking program removed and replaced with one to teach us how to use a camera John! lol. Especially those terrible in car videos I've been watching on TV! lol Excellent capture Sir. I admire your originality. Once again, please accept my humble apologies for not commenting as much as I have done in times gone by. I really do get most uncomfortable, after sitting in this chair for too long. In the last analysis, I am worried that the DVT might start up once again and that warfarin is dreadful stuff. Steve :o)
