Description

It too cold for them to play in the water for now. water is cold. Top image is a zoom as I was far away; then as we got closer I zoom out so it will not look as compact that zooms do. This is at some boat landing; not the one I rented the boat. I wonder what the children think as they walk in the mud here. Guess they like it and used to it. Guess one look out for water snakes and gators too. I going to have to come here and shot some playing around on this slide. It is just one slide at diff pov that all. The men is messing around with a boat in the background on top. thanks for looking and comments i will post other stuff I saw too this is the "Atchabalaya Basin" is where I took these photos about a week ago. I will shot some more birds and moss and trees too soon

I say dangerous place for children. Actually I was thinking about those crocks you mentioned earlier in your swamp shots. Not a good place to live.

Reminds me of when we were kids and a tire hanging on a rope over the creek was everything. Nice stuff, that brings back childhood memories for some of us!

Children have no fear and seem to enjoy icky things most of all. I'm sure this has some fascination that we, as old timers, can't understand. I imagine so close to the boat slip that there wouldn't be as many gators here unless they are over populated in this area. Snakes are a different matter. They don't think much. And then there are crabs, mudbugs and other pinching things that love the mud. :-)

Nice one, it certainly shows that kids will find a way to play, no matter what's already in the water!

Nice pictures and information. These kids have everything they need and they are going to be much better equipped to deal with life than some city kids!!!

Has me wondering too! Strange, but children will find fun regardless of there surroundings!

I love this, just shows you how little you really need to live, and kids already know that. They make fun where they find it!

That's a very short slide! I think I would worry about critters waiting for me in there. Maybe I'll just go take a bath.
