Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Yes I can relate to that, I think you have pulled some of these words right out of my head in fact. I usually wait until I've woken up in the morning to decide what I am going to do, because if I decided the night before and then didn't wake up in the morning that would be a wasted thought.lol. I have all the words, I just can't put them in the right order. Excellent prose Marilyn and the picture is beautiful, is it in your gallery?? I must check. Bravo!!!!!

Life is like a bowl of cherries...et al. It constantly opens up new perspectives on old things. Thanks for sharing these words with all of us.

In contrast to your varied daily experiences, Marilyn, every day is Groundhog Day with me. Fine sun splashed photo there, young lady!

Oh, this is a fantastic bit of writing, with a compelling image to accompany it. I can identify so well with this. New days...new ways...both of those things keep our souls alive. As the character, Duke Leto Atreides said in the David Lynch version of the film Dune, "Without change, something sleeps within us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken." It's nice to hear a real-life play on that line, because change always shows us what our "new" lives can be like, and each and every day seems to be a new life because of that. You've captured that, and I love it.
