Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

It would take my a couple of weeks to drive through here I think. The number of photo ops must run into thousands. Yes I can understand why it takes you longer than it should, nobody in their right mind would rush through here. Especially if they had a camera with them. Excellent stop off, wonderful scenery, thanks for capturing some for us. Bravo!!!!!

Yup, I have this sort of view stuck in my head too. Its a nice 4 1/2 hour trip for me to get up to see my son but on the return trip it takes nearly 6 1/2 because I insist on taking the "scenic route" through Paskenta and on through The Middle of Nowhere until we get to Williams... Great shot.

Fantastic image, I love the sense of life and color you've given this. Your world is a beautiful place, one that calls out for multiple visits. It's a magical place, by the looks of it, and as I've learned from the Vltava...rivers are such peaceful places full of surprises if you know how to look for them. They stir the heart and soul, and the Eel River, bordered by so many gorgeous trees must be a magical place, indeed. I love this photo.
