Description

Some wish to see the Spainish Moss up close and as I was close to the trees at times I took photos of it and this is the best one that came out. I was in a moveing boat going slow. I know we all took photos in moveing cars but a boat is a little more rougher as it is moving over waves you feel and roll side to side too. that why I had it on high ISO and fast shutter speed. I had my 70x250 on and I had to have it on manul to shoot with it. my 18x135 I can put it on auto and auto focus too if I wish. I know that why some of my photos like the last on was a little wash out. I did use photoshop on this one and the last one too. I not sure which lens I had on at the time here. I still learning about this camera and manul. I hear you can tell which way is south by looking on the trees at the spainish moss. i can not here I tried for the moss grows even around a lot of these trees and some time more on the north side of the tree and others on the south side of the trees. I would get lost trying to find my way. It may be true in a lot of areas but you got to look at the water too for that the side the moss will grow on more and over water it will grow around even; at lest in this area. I can got more micros shots from other places with tghe moss in it but I thought this is good one here. may get a backlighted on some Moss on day. i see how this goes.

I think you got a belting deal on the lens Jocko, so what if the electrics don't work through it, you did great for $25. A proper one for that camera would be a couple hundred $ I think. Excellent shot of the moss, I have never seen it up close, we don't have it here in the UK, not as far as I'm aware anyhow. Great series you are doing on the water, I can imagine it difficult when the boat is rocking. So far you are doing just dandy. Keep them coming. Bravo!!!!!

not a bad deal jock!!! my old minolta 35mm i had every thing but fisheye got all from pawnshops second hand stores garage sales. never know what you will find. now you have that adapter you can shope for more lenses of the type you got. plus the ones that just fit your camera. I had some very good quality russian teliphoto lens came with adapter. got them cheap because the guy could not find the adapter. it was on one of the lenses. we did not notice them. i could not find adappters any where. was looking at the lenes one day noticed one had a diferent mount! duh the adapter!. i went to the guys place i got them from and offered to sell them back to him same as i bought them for because with the adapter was no way in hell i could come up with the difference. he said no a deal was a deal. he said with out the adapter was no way i could use them short of finding the russian camera body. i did find one but were big bucks. so i had these very good lenses and something more to ruin film with...

The moss is interesting, but now you've got me wanting to check out the pawn shops, too! There was something in the news about things showing up in those shops now that never did before, because so many people got loans they couldn't pay on houses they couldn't really afford. When I see moss, I can't help it. I see fractals. Hehe.
