Description

Alright, I'm going to go Jeff-Style, and do a 'what am I' kind of thing. If anyone can tell me what this is, I would be so happy. I've looked in my 2 bird books, but to no avail. Yesterdays upload: A Wood Duck and Mallard Together. (Hmmmm) Todays upload: A _______., that appears to have a Turkey for a parent and possibly a Mallard. I wonder if the Nuke Plant is possibly causing these animals to do abnormal things? It makes me wonder. lol What do you think .............

Lol its a Duck Shari... Though I think it is probably a female Comb Duck (Sarkidiornis melanotos) The males have a distinctive knob on its beak

Ducks are notoriously promiscuous, we've a lot of mixtures around here. More likely that Danny will be right, tho!

looks to be an uncombed duck. Less tedious preening makes more time for other activities!

Well I think he must be the original Ugly Duckling, and his father is Danny Kaye.lol. He could be a punk duck Shari, certainly a fun duck, look at him strut his stuff. He's given me a fit of the giggles thats for sure, so he can't be a bad duck.#;0). Excellent capture and well spotted, to find him amongst all those swans, geese and ducks, fantastic. I love it. Bravo!!!!!

If ever a bird of this size asks you "What am I?" just explain to it: "You are two souls. I see you right now in your incarnation as bird. And I would love to see you in you incarnation as dinner!" That usually stops them from askin questions. Works with kids, too. (Btw - awesome pic!)

LOL, laughing at the comments you have gotten. He certainly is an odd duck, isn't he? And would not expect to see him among the swans and geese! Well seen and captured, Shari! :)
