Still playing aroung with DAZ's new Aiko 4 figure.. here is the 'realistic' morph again. This time with Wild Hair from RDNA, RM MyLin textures and Kunoichi outfit, both from DAZ.
DAZ|Studio render with postwork in Photoshop.
pwSurface shaders on the skin and silk. Pendragon's hair shader. I used a very strong specular on the silk, but upped the specular softness in the pwSurface settings. There is also some translucence used on the silk... although I'm not sure how much of that shows.
Basic 5 point light setup with uberspots. This time I tried setting all of the lights with shadow strength at 75%. There's also an ambient light from Dreamlight's studio light pro set in there. I think this gave a softer more natural effect to the lighting. I also set the key light really tight on her face to try to get some drama. Dreamlight's spotlight pointer product was very helpful for getting the spotlight cones and falloff setup the way I wanted.
Depth of field was done at render time.
Postwork: there's more than a bit here. I did a levels adjustment, then took the saturation down a bit. I also added a circular gradient in multiply mode at about 25% opacity to help focus the image on the face. Finally there's a bit of browinsh tint added with a color layer to suggest the 'old photo' effect.

Again, Michael, a fantastic portrait, the lightning suits absolutly your model and I won't even talk about your way of using textures and shaders. My wife, she sits beside me, says you are a great artist. And my wife is always right, thats what she says normaly. ^_^
