Description

Still experimenting with HDRI lighting - this time I have made my own HDRI image from a standard panoramic image and added my own lights to it by painting them in and then producing the HDRI using the techniques outlned in Colin Smith's tutorial, which really has been an inspiration! http://www.renderosity.com/news.php?viewStory=13927 This looks to be a very versatile technique - again this Vue-rendered image has nothing other than the imported Poser figure and the image based HDRI lighting - no other props or conventional lights have been used! HDRI is a good technique. A little postwork contrast on the dark areas to make a touch more tone would make this image even better than merely great.

Sometimes the right lighting can make the simplest scene into something special, like this one. The lighting is excellent and gives this render a ton of atmosphere!
