Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

We are getting snow here, you must be on the otherside of the planet...spring won't be here for another month or two.

Got me laughing a bit here, Marilyn. You do realize that you can purchase the 'Garden Weasel' from the TV commercials. One flick of the wrist and it automatically pulls out the weed. But, then you can't get into the dirt...on your hands and knees...lol Thanks for brightening my very early, morning cup of coffee with your words.

Some times your natural texture is the best way indeed. especially with fixing minute objects like watches, eye glass frames, etc. very nice insight here what you went through! Good day to you Marilyn :-) Hugsssss

I don't know how you got this gift Marilyn, but it sure is powerful, and when you read it a couple of times, most of us can relate to it. We can think it, but you can put it down on paper. Then those that can't relate can still read it. Excellent prose again with a relevant picture. Bravo!!!!! I don't weed anymore and I miss getting dirty.lol.

Fantastic...I love the way you capture so much...a lot of what you say is so straightforward and open, but there seem to be whole layers of subtext as well, impressions and observations that work so beautifully between the lines of what you write. Superb work!

Our Marilyn, feeling and smelling the heady essence of flora and soil, once again at one with nature. Terrific gauze-like effect displayed in that wonderful macro, young lady! And, I'm glad you washed your hands before using the camera. You wouldn't want to get dirt and weeds into the intricate mechanisms.

I'm with you, you can't work a garden properly with gloves on, it's unnatural. Lovely piece of writing, thank you!

It's good to liberate the plants! :) (You can keep the raspberries, though - I don't like 'em.)
