Description

This is another view of the Eel River, about 50 miles south of where I live. It's looking down at one of the sweetest swimming holes anywhere-- nice sandy beach, deep pools. I took it the day I left for SF, it had cleared up and gotten warm. Now, that same spot would be not so pretty, the river's up and it's brown, muddy and running fast.

What a magnificent and original capture, Marilyn. Catching the view of the river between those two awesome-looking trees. Bet this is a fun place in mid-summer.

This is a gorgeous shot! I love the way it's almost a picture in an picture. The whole piece works so well together, but then the trees themselves frame a smaller part of the view, nesting one image inside another it seems. I love that effect, and the more I look at your stuff and read the accounts you provide, the more appealing America's West Coast becomes! Great, moving work...as always.

that's funny you call it your river and I call the lake where I live now MY LAKE hehe We used to camp at Myers Flat every year. Was nice to have some warm sunshine and swim in the river.
