Description

Going home after making another giant leap for mankind. I modeled the rocket ship myself using Hexagon. The rocket exhaust took a while to get looking halfway decent. Basically, it's a series of overlapping ellipsoids with flame material shaders at various levels of opacity and luminance. There is no postwork at all.

Fantastic image! Reminds me of a scene from Destination Moon, a great scifi film.

I like the billowing smoke and debris cloud spreading on the ground. The receding tire tracks from base camp are a nice touch. Well done!
