Description

A wee bit farther up the trail from yesterday's upload is Fairy Falls, one of the prettier little waterfalls in the Columbia Gorge. Compare this shot with one from Last June. The summer one is much greener, of course, but you can see that there is significantly more water this time of year, and this is a really tiny stream. It's actually a tributary that flows into the one I posted yesterday. I realize that there is no scale here. This waterfall is about 20 ft (6 m) tall, but in this case size doesn't matter. It just a really pretty little waterfall, especially considering how much work it takes to get to it. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

I liked being able to compare the two pictures. This is a beautiful picture of the falls ...thanks for hiking there so I don't have to. I'm glad you are back to hiking to show us how pretty Oregon is.

This is awesome love the contrast of textures, the softness of the water flowing over the rocks and the beatiful green grass framing the falls, excellent!!!

Wonderful! Apt name too. The hard to get to areas are always the best eh? There's one here in Arizona I've been trying to get a nice pic of, but alas it's a good bit 'o hike in canyons and have to catch it with water running nicely. (and this is Arizona)

I love how it cascades down over each rock. You're so lucky to know where every waterfall is. Just where do you live Dennis?

It must be too early in the day for the fairies to be up and about! What a lovely little waterfall, 'supremely attractive' is a pale statement for its delightful appearance. :)
