I'm a software engineer by day. I spend my time pushing ones and zeros around, which is not as easy as it sounds. They're slippery little devils.BIOI discovered fractals in the mid 80's with Fractint on what must have been a 25 MHz processor. Around 2001 I upgraded all the way from 400 MHz to 1.8 GHz, and thought about making fractals again. I discovered Fractal Explorer, and later XenoDream. These days I use mostly XD and MBF, with an occasional image from ChaosPro and Quasz, since I've always loved quaternions.
For my photography I use a Canon 30D. My primary lenses are a Canon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 EF DO IS USM and a Canon 24-105 f/4 L IS USM.

Wow, a tough winter is right judging from all the fallen trees! This is a beautiful little stream though and I'm glad it survived. I really like this photo.

Yes, a bit of a mess..but, I love the moss-covered rocks, and the fall is so beautiful. Great capture, Dennis.

Wow - look at all those downed trees! A tough winter, indeed. Must have been a lot of wind - those weren't uprooted from too much rain, they were snapped off! Fascinating shot. And the waterfall is beautiful, too! :)

Beautiful! There have been many downed trees here due to the storms of the past winter, too.

Wow, the wind shear must have been brutal! Lots of new damage as well as some old snags falling. But you are absolutely right, there are some pretty little falls in there. :)

I was suprised to not see more of this in my travels over the coastal mountains. It is amazing so many trees in this area came down. Very nice look up the falls.

Great shot Dennis. I don't think you have to worry about forest fires there. What you need is a really good railfall, boocoo rain, to clear this out. I will be looking at these images when we go 40C+ for 4 months in summer, Sig...

Very brave little stream. It's still chugging along. Does look like things have been bad. Storms, maybe?
