I was wondering about the graininess of the picture until I noticed that row of ghost buildings on the clouds in back, then I just took it as a painterly choice and the whole scene made sense. This definitely would not have the Dark (K)night feeling if it was crisp and clear. Excellent photographic interpretation and a courageous choice.
