Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Ah...another beautiful glimpse into your life! I love your poetry and your commentaries and this stands up there among your best! It touches on so much and it reminds me of that wonderful exhaustion you can only get from an adventure of discovery, fun, and all of the other stuff on the pleasurable end of the experience-spectrum. Great stuff here! Wonderful image too! I love it!

Show me the way to go home, I'm tired and I wanna go to bed, I took way too many photos today, and it went right to my head.... It sounds like you had quite a day of it alright, Marilyn....sand, surf, saltwater, seagulls, shoes, ships, sealing wax, etc. I'd be worn out, too. In any case, fine prose and avian image.

I'm glad you guys had such a good time! Even having heard the story, your poem fills in gaps we didn't talk about. That's undoubtedly the mark of an excellent bit of writing! You showed me something through your poetry that didn't come out in the conversation. Wonderful work!

Wonderful! In a way it reminded me of my early school trips. I always ended my report for the teacher with : "tired but satisfied we went back home" ..lol
