Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Ah...the writer's experience. Stuff comes out on its own, whether its what you want to write or not. Fantastic stuff. It's great when that happens. I love the way you've captured that experience and the photograph that accompanies this is utterly beautiful! Fantastic work!

You know, Chipka talks a lot of sense. I have to agree with everything he said. Just let it out and go with the flow, as for it making sense, it seems to, to me as well. This picture you have here as well, great stuff, love the bridge and its reflection, it has a warm glow. I don't remember that being in your gallery either. Magic words and a wonderful picture to go with them. Bravo!!!!!

The picture is absolutely appropriate: starting to write is like dislodging a dam - all those pent-up feelings are translated into words and simply pour out in a [seemingly] never-ending stream. Well-written. Mike

But, your words are always sincere and from your heart, Marilyn. Cool photo, too.

I know exactly what you mean. Fortunately, it all seems to make sense to other people, as well. How cool is that? :) Great image, too. Think about putting it in the photography gallery where we can blow it up? It's too wonderful to languish at 350 square.

Hmmm, golly gee, I wonder what Marilyn is trying to imply in her profound prose. Love the foliage and water effects in that image, reminiscent of several pics I took last year over at the El Dorado Nature Park.
