Description

A rather simple render for today. My brain needs a bit of a rest...lol Once again I used the lattice for terrain building, changed it in the terrain editor to gigantic size along with two hits on the erosion function and then stretched it to create the volcanic peak and slopes. Water has a bit of bump applied to it and high transparency so as to allow the viewer to see some of the terrain features underneath the water. Enjoy and thanks for viewing and commenting... Your expertise in terrain shaping and rendering is fabulous. I like this very much, this desert scene may be simple, but it's even more powerful and expressive.

Interesting and fabulous landscape Keith, it certainly looks like there's been no-one there for thousands of years. Good use with the water effects as well to show below the surface. Tony :-)

Not surprised yiour brain needs a rest, Keith. This 'seems' simple but you know what they say- less is more and all that? I love 'looking through' water when I go bass fishing down at a low spring tide- not the same terrain as you have skillfully done here but similar in a way. Nice work.

This has an almost surreal quality to it, simple though you say it is, the overall effect is fantastic. It does look eons old, who knows what might peek out from over the top?

I like this quite a lot! The sense of realism is amazing and the geology of the image is top notch and quite accurate. It's evocative of so many moods and stories as well. Fantastic work!
