Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I was thinking along the lines of amlondono. It has that Impressionist painting quality to it. Very lovely image!

Neat postwork Marilyn, I liked yesterday's version as well. I'm not sure which I like the best as they are both very good. I do like the effect that you have created, I kep saying to myself it's about time I got into doing some postwork myself, but I never find the time. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Oh Marilyn, this is beautiful and dreamy! I love the hazy, fuzzy focus of it coupled with the brilliant and lively color! This is a gorgeous shot, and definitely a favorite of mine. You have an incredible eye for this kind of stuff and you capture it and work it beautifully. This is fantastic work! Your gallery is great, and this is a great addition to it!

Good Lawd, I thought my eyes had finally given out on me until I read your narrative about the gauzy effect, which is excellent in this postworked capture, Marilyn. Really love the ripple effect of the lazy river.
