Description

TMFV Page 030. Another of those fun to make pages. Made a few new places and recycled a lot of meshes I made some time back. I noticed Pixar does the same thing... The toys in Toy Story seem to find their way into other Pixar films. That's the economy of mesh making, I guess. Hope you enjoy reading it! Leave any remarks you wish. Thanks and have a great week!!

I thinks the hero here isn’t seeing the big picture, the worlds falling apart and he doesn’t notice, bit like real life :) excellent

Being the fussy bugger that I am, I always have difficulty portraying action in a scene.. Top right frame, you have no problems portraying this. Absolutely love the mess in the center frame..Your re-used meshes, not a bad thing to do, certainly saves time creating new, and since the professionals do it regulary,(as you stated) why the hell not! The entire series, so far, has a professional style and finish, look forward to the continuation!! Have a good week yourself! Kev

Wonderful new release in the series Richard and I see you have everyone buzzing already. I tend to agree that the hero is missing out on the bigger picture, but then that is part of the fun. As for recycled mesh you hit the nail on the head, I noticed the same thing in their movies also but you do a better job of concealing it.

Number 30! congratulations. Pictures and layout are fantastic, well designed. I want to be helpful, so I'm going to point out just a few things that I see as a viewer that you can correct (if you want). 1. frame one: the note he's writing. Numbers at the begining and ave at the end tell me this is an address he's going to... You can make this a little better, Ave seems like it is running into Mut... at a glance, I thought it said "Mustang" 2.FANTASTIC ACTION - jumping into the car... in this frame, I see: "yeah, yeah" - it looks like someone may be saying it inside the car, but I don't see a head, and in the next frame it looks like only one person in the car... I don't know where yeah, yeah is coming from, ...I don't think you really even need it... that could end up on the cutting floor. 3. The girls school sign, could be a little clearer, easier to read. I love your work, this in no way is putting you down, so please don't take it that way. Please look at me as a friend helping you "tweek" your masterpiece. Fantastic work! I don't know if you have plans publishing this, I think it has a highly professional look to it... that is why I left some helpful comments... I use to be a proof reader half a life time ago when I was in printing - old habbit to catch little things.

The art is perfect in this, I'm gonna read the whole thing through from page 1, but I always end up getting mad at myself because I want the next page NOW!!! :D I wouldn't have noticed reuse of meshes until it was pointed out. Cool thing about modelling is you don't have to redraw the darn things over and over. It's the modelling that's a lot of work huh?

Mike, Thanks for the proof read. Always appreciate constructive critism. The note was never meant to be readable, just to allude that he needed to know where Betty lived, establishing he didn't already know she was a Girl's School denizen and thus setting up the last frames. I agree, Billy's dad is indoors and I was too lazy to add a silouette in the window. I guess I will have to. I thought of changing the Girl's school sign to have a plain background so the lettering would look clearer but spot renders made it look out of place and I used dialog to establish the fact. Maybe a little post work attention to that detail. If at sometime you clear your IE browser cache and you should see some changes.

I get that way myself sometimes (lazy). but it doesn't take away from the flow of sequences and the stories movement.

How about that the "AP" market brings back memories do they still have those back in the midwest ? Nothing wrong with mixing and matching models from other scenes and creating greeble packs, another fine page added .

I'm hooked on the black and white hook. sorry for the weird pun. lol nice type handling too. sometimes those elements get in the way of the art process for me.
