Description

TMFV Page 029. Apologies on being so late in submitting. Had to attend a funeral in a distant city. Took several days. My wife's grandmother died at age 99. Just missing her 100th. She was ready to go and died peacefully. She was a Great Great Grandmother. For a short while, there were 5 generations on earth exsisting at the same time. The story moves along and Officer Jim may indeed be lucky! Depends on what happens next. Always enjoy reading your comments and they help enormously! So please add your remarks!! Enjoy life! Its short even at 99 years old!

99... that's up there. when I was a child I wanted to make it to 100... that changed about a half a life time ago. The body just takes too much abuse. My sister past away 2 years back and looked like she could of been in her late 70s...she was only 50. while reading your comic I jumped from the girls walking with the police before reading them looking out the window... comics, it happens... just thought I'd say something to where you might be able to set up the boxing so your eye flows to the next box somehow... I have avoided the box system in my Bondage story... However, in the long run I wish I would of gone with the box system. You comic is publishable, where mine is mini posters... I did it that way, because I wanted to consintrate more on lighting, character developement, textures - my story is more a storyboard look than anything, but it's a beginning. Glad to see you back - by the way, I'm ahead of you now for the race to 100... I don't plan on uploading for a few days, so you might pass me - lol.

Another brilliant page - I love the flow that you get in each page and your use of lettering - and of course great characters! I think maybe Jim will be lucky or very unlucky indeed! 99 is a good innings - I should be so lucky! The important think is to keep your health and your interest in life!

Can't say as I'm sorry to hear about your wife's grandmother because I'm actually happy to hear that she got to live such a long life and become a great great grandmother, not many of us get so lucky! And of course, you just can't have a 'teen' story without at least a little skin, hee. Great job on the TV and image there too!

Great install as always. For some reason Judy was looking exceptionally fetching in this one. Cough Ahem. :O) I have to agree with Mikeerson. When I was young making it to 100 seemed so cool. Now I'm just hoping to make it to 50.

ldgilman: The constant drawing of Officer Jim's gun is his signature. He never holsters it! He's always willing to employ it and he likes how it makes him feel when he brandishes it so prominently. I know people like that. Me, I brandish my wits. Thanks for asking.

ah, my weekly does of Teenage Martians From Venus. As always a beautifully setup scene, the attention to detail is really what sets you apart. The old television with the detailed CBS evening news cast is amazing. Of course who can do without the scene with the ladies in their undies, I know I can't. I'm also one of those fans of Officer Jim's Signature drawn gun. Scary part is I know some police like that in small towns.

Officer Jim may be lucky not to have his brains sucked out by an alien with a straw... :-) funerals... you are only dead if you are forgotten...

Officer Jim may be propped with pistol in hand, but I suspect a single bullit lies within his shirt pocket (ala Barney Fife). Sorry about the family loss. Great work as always!

Sorry to hear about your loss, having been to a few myself in recent years, at least it gives us an opportunity to re-connect with other family members we might not always see. 99, sounds like she did her best. I hope the rest of 2008 offers you no similar event. My opinions on the strip: I do see what Mike said about the flow, I also went past the window panel, but not a big deal. What is detracting from your efforts, imo, is a blown-out effect that is coming through your black-n-white process. The 'ding-dong' panel seems to melt into the rest of the page and the girl to the left of officer Jim blends to the bkg. I didn't even see his gun until reading the comments. I say this mostly because you ARE putting in a lot of great details and the post process is negating some of that work. Sorry, if I'm harping on this but you've got a story going that has got people interested and well, this is one reader who would like to see more of your famous details come through the final viewing. Keep 'em coming.

I always thought this series was based on an original comic from the 50's-60's...So, I googled the name, and guess what I found?.. Now I know! Enjoy YOUR days! Kev
