Description

One of the many views on my 10 acre lot. I am lucky to have this view. This day was frosty and warm - a rare treat in Minnesota. You're awesome to stop in. Thank you. Jodie

Only an ex-Minnesotan like me would know exactly what you mean by "frosty and warm" -- and those are wonderful days. I love the cool blue shadows on the snow contrasted with the warm milky sunlight. Nice one!

This really is a rewarding view. The photo is great with the peek through the trees like that and finding a tree with the bare ground under it really gave this more interest. The patches of light on the snow as the view heads for the horizon are really nice to keep the interst going.

Other than an excellent capture of a beautifully forested scene, nothing much more I can add to the comments above, Jodie! Glad you and your son are feeling better.

so this is what you look out at...it couldn't be more fitting for a healing & thawing March day. (Do your work, nature!) I look out over 8 million highrises, a cubist interplay of planes, and (in winter) billows of white smoke coming out of every building, and a Lake that evaporates and makes you feel you're living on the edge of valhalla. Maybe I should paste this rich photo onto my window...MrsRatbag said, above, that only an ex-Minnesotan would understand frosty & warm. I'm sure she's right (I've been there, it's an almost unique state), but most of us midwesterners know something about these things. And she's also right about your "warm milky sunlight": You find that all over the universe. Our winters have these blue-bleached tones, yet the sunlight presides over everything like a big thick blanket. May these scenes warm & heal everyone! Mark
