Hello! My name is Jodie. I live in Minnesota where the temps can fluxuate by 20 degrees in one day. Most of my photos have been taken very close to my home, a 10 acre hobby farm., where I raise Alpacas and chickens. I am a band director, a musician/singer and a photographer/adviser on the yearbook committee. My camera of choice is a Nikon. I have a D90 and a D70. I also have a SB800 flash and favorite lens is Nikon 18-200mm AF-S, with VR. Revisiting the visual arts is something I should have done years ago. If I see something remarkable, I just try to capture it. Nobody else will ever see it quite that way again so I hope you try that, too. This is just like expensive therapy for us. Thank you for visiting and may you have a peaceful day!

Excellent POV, DOF, colors, clarity, detail, textures and lighting effects in this splendid shot, Jodie! Love that mobile wharf with its basic geometry. And, I thought that was Matthew out there at first. Heal and be well, both of you.

I have hoped that you and your boy were getting on well since the accident. I know that the outward signs will heal much faster than the inner ones. I do know. This photo has got to give you an uplifting feeling and something to look forward to. The dappling of sun on this shore is lovely and the length of the dock brings the eye right alone its length with ease.

Indeed a welcoming scene in stark contrast with your current climate. Good luck on the way to full recovery Jodie.

It is interesting that waters are associated with healing in the Bible. Another verse occurred to me upon seeing your picture: "For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had." Wishing you and your son a speedy healing both of mind and body.

I read on other posts about your accident, and I hope and pray you and your son are healing and on the way to recovery! Touching narrative, love and support of family and friends always seem to provide the healing for the soul, while nature slowly takes care of the body. Your friends here wish you the best!
