Description

OMG! Looks like Spring is already here, although it's still officially 17 days away. Here's one daffodil striving for a better view of it all. Of course, in spite of these flowers, it's still a bit early for our area. But it is getting close. I first felt the rumblings from the ground about 3 weeks ago as the earth started to awaken from yet another winter. The early daffodils are already out, although the majority of them have yet to bloom. The tulips & the most of the flowering trees are also patiently waiting, but their buds are growing larger every day. I hope they are not too far ahead of schedule. Memphis is famous for its early Springs, only to have a killer cold front slam through in April wiping out everything in sight! I'll keep my fingers crossed for now! marshall

Lots of welcome flowers in here today and these are beautiful. We get the same here in Idaho, things start to bud and here comes winter again. Excellent shot, Marshall, always enjoy your photos and stories.

Beautiful shot, excellent composition -- the dark distance sets off the "explorer" perfectly. Well done!

Up Periscope! :-) Love the mood on this and the yellow blur of buds in the background contrasting with the crisp greens in the front gives good depth.

Superb composition! I would have focused on many blooms, but this backlighting, soft yellow background, and that one blossom shows a great eye!! Love it!

This is so sunny and hopeful! Very nicely done. I love the lone daffodil, surveying the valley!

Love how the daffodils in the foreground stand out/extending out of the blurred background like that. I love the diorama effect in this scene.
