I'm just trying my hand with night shots... because I couldn't do that with my phone cam. so now that I can... I'm going to start with something I really love... the full moon. O fcourse I know there isn't much art in this shot, if there's any. But it's just my first good night shot (by good I mean visible, lol), so I thought I'd post it in my first post after post 50 :D
I'd like to thank everyone who's been supportive of me, as a photographer and a person... especially PJ (MrsLubner) of course, my Godmother on RR... and John (Jgkane) who's been so sweet to me... I'd also like to thank RichardPhotos, Flannelman, RobyHermida, Rainbows, Medley, Blush, Ssofia, JaneEden, beachzz, Mousson, Amlondono, Mickik50, timtripp, Helanker and Architect_maram...
You're all amazing... thank yoooooou!

Nice capture, Nahla, and thanks for the 'brownie points'. I have taken a few night shots, on my digital camera, but they are all so dark... 'o) Even at 10X optical zoom, the moon still looks very small. Add to that, the following three reasons ( i.e. excuses ) A) I live in a brightly lit city where there is too much light pollution. B) I have terminal camera shake, and C) Blunt trauma induced double-vision, and there is no wonder that I never take a decent shot..! ;o( This I like. The feathered edge of cloud looks a bit like the wings of an angel, or perhaps a giant Roc from the Arabian Nights, or one of your Egyptian Phoenix, maybe even an Egyptian Ba, or a Bennu. Who knows. When my grandson returns, I will set it as my background. He will ask me what the story is behind it, and I'll set off on another made-up-on-the-spur-of-the-moment-tale for him. Sometimes he suggests a direction for the story, as it evolves, or even gives me a voice for one of the characters, or asks if one of his favourite characters is part of this story. Imagination is a wonderful thing, isn't it? Regards, John.

Night shots of the moon are one of those things that takes patience. This is great because the clouds and the reflection of the moon's light on them gives so much interest in the overall image. You have thanked me for lending support to you but you have earned it. Since your first post, you have tried to figure out how to make each one better. Did you think back then you would post 51 images and find so many friends who would enjoy them so much? Keep experimenting, don't stop wanting more from yourself and always remember that we all wait to see the next shot.
