Peace indeed. That's the emotion I get from this. Peace and contemplation... but among all that, the rain casts doubt and probably falls in pools of sorry. The figure, however, turns her back on the weather and thinks ahead to the possibility of better times... and she has a little friend to guide her there.

Well im pretty darn overwhelmed on this...so many perfect elements blended together ..the rain drop splashes..the composition, lighting, sillouette, subtle foreground and props...the light on the water in the background (how the heck did you do that?)...Just Perfect!!!!!!

This image scares me, and I mean that as a compliment. There is an undercurrent here, in my mind at least, and it goes in emotionally complex directions. As for the technical qualities of this piece, the color/shadow combination works on multiple levels and the clarity is oddly "ambiguous." It's like there is an image behind this image...In short, I like this image a lot...it makes me think. (Out of curiosity, do you know much about Russian folklore? I ask this because this is an almost archetypal "Rusalka" image.)
