Description

Little Multnomah Falls is located about 40 feet upstream from the brink of Multnomah Falls and is visible from the viewing platform. It's only about a 12 ft (4 m) drop, but I like it; it's like a bonus for hiking all the way to the top of Multnomah Falls. If you compare with this shot from last July, you can see there's a lot more water this time of year, and there's nothing blocking the view, although I have to admit I like the summer colors better. Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

A good spread on the mouth of the falls. I see the tumbling water is carving out an even wider path. I like the color surrounding the falls here as it lets the falls itself be the star of the show. Very nice shot.

I like the green foliage in the other picture better, but WOW, the water in this one is just amazingly beautiful. I like seeing how the bare branches on the left of this will look in a few more months.

A big difference in water from your summer post. Both images, winter and summer, are equally beautiful, Dennis!

Seeing the upper structure of the creek as it approaches the falls is really fascinating. It's much more apparent in this image. While the summer colors are green and lively, these winter shades feel serene. :)

I like them both. The volume of water in this one is spectacular, but I also like seeing the "bones" of the falls in the other shot. I love it that you provide a link when you've shot something before. The comparisons are always fascinating!
