Description

We are having a major snow event today. Schools, businesses, and freeways are closed; over 200 flights have been canceled at DFW. Right now I have nearly 6" of snow outside my door, breaking all records for a snow this late in March since 1924!! TV stations have forgone regular schedules to cover the weather non stop. There have been many vehicle accidents, including on the highway right in front of my house. Texans are not famous for being able to drive in snow and ice, lol. I have been like a kid in a candy store today, taking pictures and going outside to revel in the rare treat. I have had to feed the birds every 15 minutes, as what I put out is either quickly eaten or buried in more snow. Not the best shot, the window was covered with drops. I'll try to catch up later. Right now I'm having too much fun. :) Thanks for looking and for your comments.

Yeah! but at least you get enough to cause thos disruptions, here in the UK we only gotta get an inch or two and the whole place grinds to a halt:)....Take care in the snow and ice TEX!...lovely shot BTW...Fancy showing this to KC royals fan LOL

OHH How lovely this little cardinal is. Because it is a "cardinal" it is called, isnt it? We dont have have these gorgeous bird in Denmark. I am glad that you are having fun, my friend and I am very looking forward to see, what the result of your fun will be. :)))

the first snow missed Dallas proper completely but the second left maybe less than 2" this morning.Denton got hit very heavy.I recall in 78 it snowed the last week of February and the first week of March.when I left in the middle of March to move south there was still snow in the shadows.beautiful capture Maria

Beautiful image! I love cardinals! We got some of the snow over here in WT, not as much as y'all did in the DFW area though, what a mess you guys have!
