My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Great close up shot of a lovely Mallard, I love how the sunlight cathes the colours on these ducks it changes the greens into blues and sometimes purple. Is it at the waters edge?, the water looks very shallow and clear.
bebert

Fantastic composition again, ma'am! Very great! I haven't noticed the other objects you've mentioned aside from the duck and the fantastic shot you got on the water surface. ^_^

I think we have all gone quackers, ducks do float but they also go down well, especially with plum sauce.lol. Excellent shot Tara, and I just love the quality of that water, its so clear, like crystal. I have to agree with Alan on the iridescent gren and it changing colour as the sun hits it from differing angles. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
camilledubuc

Cosine
A Duck. ...Exactly. So, logically... If she weighed the same as a duck... she's made of wood. And therefore... ...A witch! Are you sure this is a duck, Tara? You can't be too careful, you know. LOL I really like the way the light is playing with the water in this one. Very well done.
helanker
Yeees It is a duck alright :))) And a very beautiful and colorful duck. Lovely reflections of the water.

Holy Man-O-War, Batman, that looks like a surfaced submarine bearing in on us, all set to launch its torpedoes! Love the POV, colors, detail, clarity, and lighting effects of all this, especially the duck's wake as it propels itself through the water, of which the rolling effects are in a class by itself.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. Love the shallow waves.
Lunastar
Aw so sweet.
