Description

That's me, lookin for work. One month ago today, I became obsolete in my career of Medical Transcription. One reason is the f-ing outsourcing of American jobs. But, that's not the main reason. The main reason is that hospitals don't want to pay for their much needed medical/radiology/surgical/pathology reports which is HOW THEY F-ING GET PAID! So, they're all going to a program of Voice Recognition and that removes the need for the MT to type the reports. I've seen what these programs generate as reports on human freakin beings' medical conditions. This is going to kill and mame! If you get x-rays or have anything done, make sure to ask for 2nd reading of the films etc. I hope every single hospital and doc gets sued to the f-ing bone!!!!!!!!! Oh, and the few MTs that continue, are now paid like pennies per line, not even enough to make minimum wage and MTs have to know as much as the docs they type for! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! I'm having a hard time coming to grips with this as you may have gathered. LOL. Am I angry? Oh hell yeah! Unemployed is one thing, but unemployed in your chosen career due to it's coming to an end due to this kind of automation is appauling! Ok, enough of my whining and ranting. so sorry to hear about your job situation my friend, i finally got a job last week myself, was unemployed for two and ½ months, you will be in my prayers, hope you get a job asap my friend. this is such a beautiful image Ruby, love the water, wings and her pose. lol /steve

Oh that sucks! (Not the image, that's as wonderful as ever) but your situation. It is appalling what is happening in this country and the only way to stop it is by we the people. How long is it going to take before we have had enough. People are losing jobs, their homes, maxed out on credit cards our money isn't worth crap. It is time we stood up and said enough! (sorry didn't mean to get on my soap box) so sorry to hear of your troubles Ruby, not fair. But, like everything else, hospitals are big business now. :o)

So sorry to hear about your job. Bush has really screwed this country up. Oil & drug companies are making billions and still get tax breaks. Outsorcing to other countries are becoming commonplace. They say unemployment is down because they cut the benefits from a year to 6 months so less people are collecting. I think they should cut all our pokiticians pay by 25% and make them do twice the work and then maybe they can see what's like for the rest of us. Hell I remember when 25% interest was only charged by loan sharks and there was a usery law which made it illegal, but now it's credit card co's do it on a regular basis. Wonderful image and I am angered to hear what has happened to you. This is such garbage that we have let these pitiful excuses for human being outsource everything under the sun and then charge us more for their crappy service. My older sister was in this field for a while and the same thing happened to her so I feel for you Ruby. Trust me nothing surprises me with these jackals in the medical community anymore, I have witnessed first hand how eager they are to shove you out the door after surgery instead of keeping you a few extra days. I'll put you on my list of people I need to pray for and hope you can find a job that is even better where your not dealing with animals like this.

The picture is great, as usual. Sorry to hear about your status. I have worked in a different field of software than the one you are addressing, but i have trouble believing that a voice recognition program is going to replace a trained MT. Good luck, I haven't worked in a while myself.

i am so sorry to hear about your job situation...this kind of crap is going on all over...the creeps that sit at the top of the heap can only think about how much profit they can make because that affects their bonuses, etc....god forbid they would ever give up part of their obscene salaries to help american workers keep their jobs...by the time this f'ing bush administration leaves there will be nothing left of the country to save...positive energy is being sent to you so you can find a job, perhaps an even better one at that! oops, almost forgot your image, LOL...it's great!

You all are the best! Thank you so much for the warm wishes and supportive comments! I really agree with what Goldie said. F'ING Bush has all but destroyed this country that once was a great and beloved nation. I guess we'd all best learn Chinese and Arabic since Bush has sold us WE THE FREAKIN PEOPLE out!!! The next pres best be ready to tow the mark and really right this crap or prepare to be fired in four short years!
