Description
Taking a bit of time away from a couple other things I've been working on to put together a quick tribute to Frazetta. Well, I thought it would go quick. It didn't.
I know, it's not very Frazetta-esque. No fur, no loincloths, no stone spears. But it's got a chick holding a ray gun and a pair of sabertoothed kitties to help dissuade anyone unfamiliar with the concept of a right end and a wrong end to a gun.
I hope there's enough of a connection to Frazetta's work to work. Either way, I'm fairly pleased at how it turned out.

Default textures on the tigers. I liked how they turned out in the original P6 render; far better than anything I got from P5 with the kitties. And there's a filter applied to the merged layers (two renders and a separate background).

just found out today about Frazetta - Monday, May 10th, 2010 - he Died... Not too familiar with Frazetta's work, but I have a few favorites. I only have 2 favorite fantasy artists - one was Frazetta, so it saddens me to see he has left us... and oddly enough, I too have a piece in my gallery with Frazetta in mind... it was a TAG game I started a couple years back. I TAGGED benbischop who uses his work as an avatar.
