Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Fantastic geometry of the trees you have captured, Marilyn. This view is awe- inspiring and I could get lost in its beauty for an entire day. It's like those branches are just reaching out to you commanding attention and respect. BTW, the world news this evening had a huge story on those seals.

I find the coastal trees so amazing. They can take on winds that batter the cliffs until they fall, winds that snap branches like toothpicks, winds that flatten the land for miles and, yet, these coast trees continue to lean into the wind with a challenge of their own. This really is a stellar shot. The pov really does give a view of the different trees and their reaction to their harsh existance. And still they remain so very beautiful.

Excellent Photography and scene, kudos....

WOW! If it's possible to fall in love with a work of photography, consider my heart stolen (just don't tell a certain Russian that!) But honestly Marilyn, this is an amazing shot. When I looked at the thumbnail, I couldn't exactly tell what it was, and then when I saw the image full sized, I just stared in awe. This is truly amazing, beautifully captured! I love the sense of detail, and the otherworldly quality this has. Amazingly seen! Definitely on my growing list of favorites!

Oh I could have fun in there. I like avenues of trees like this, I like searching in the cracks of the bark, looking for little critters. It's suprising what you can find. Excellent capture Marilyn, I just wish I could be there with you. Bravo!!!!!

Superb shot, Marilyn! Those trees could be a bit creepy in the right conditions.

Interesting perspective view!

Lovely shot - avenues have their majesty and mystique. Here they are almost all broad-leaved trees and found in the grounds of stately homes ... this conifer avenue makes a refreshing change. Mike

Excellent POV, DOF, and sense of depth, along with sharp clarity and oodles of fantasy foliage to lead us down the magical path. Yessiree Bob, shades of THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA.
