Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

OOoh, another one! You capture the whole essence of travel so well in this, and as usual, your words echo with wordless truth...if such a thing is possible. I guess it is, since what you capture is such a pronounced feeling that just so happens to fit within well chosen words! I love the image that goes with this. A nice house! As always, fantastic!

I liked this image before Marilyn, but where that grass is, I would be tempted to build a nice big pond for my fish. These words that keep pouring forth out of your mind are indeed wonderful, and a joy to read. Thanks for the welcome! Bravo!!!!!

I've given up catching up - I'm a bit like a demented dog chasing its tail. And, yes, I DO do ALL the house/garden work! Mike

We share a love of Malibu lights! I love the informal gardens and the color of the house is just what I've been considering for mine. Even the lawn is healthy!

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late.... Or, on the other hand, as Peggy Lee used to sing: Manana, manana, manana's good enough for me! Good capture of the bucolic house and yard, Marilyn!

Super pad you've got there, Marilyn! My neighbours at the bottom of the garden have invited their gardening club round to see ...MY garden! No pressure then!
