Description

One more part in the series of Kira's dreams, this time featuring the mechanical girl Dew-T. Her previous appearances were in 'Come with me Kira' where she seemed hold the chain enslaving Kira. thumb_1590876.jpg and in 'Unexpected empathy' where she hesitantly tries to console and encourage Kira thumb_1623627.jpg Perhaps she was right to be hesitant, she seemed to have out-lived her usefulness. Was she not mechanical enough? did she neglect her duties? maybe her duties became obsolete, and she with them... So, do you see any of that in the image? do you see something completely different? I'd love to hear your thoughts and feelings, as well as any technical or artistic comments. Thanks!

Wow. Very interesting use of shaders and lighting. It has a very surreal feel to it. The use of the doll-like figure is also very effective in giving it that abandoned feel.

Everything is absolutely wonderful in this picture except the rose, IMO. It seems...well...trite. The recumbent robo-babe with rose (or other foliage) seems to have already to be done. That is the initial impression from this striking piece. The details are impressive, and the textures are beautiful, but the pose seems a little overdone and the addition of the rose seems just a bit cliche,IMO. A trailing of hand in water might have been better, or might have been as used as the rose. I guess the shorthand of art is just TOO short for you to convey a long comment from this piece. I think that if you play with the pose you can convey what you want, without cliche. Look at dance. Look at mimes. I usually love your stuff, but this one had a peculiar response in me where it could be better without using things seen before. I plead guilty of it as well, in things I've done artistically.

You know that I am lost in the story. So that I can only speak starting from what the image transmits me. The first thing that impresses me is the profusion of colors of it; there is a correct treatment of an extensive and varied range of colors.I find very interesting also the camera POV and DOF. I had preferred that the shades stood out a little more to get a better effect of the volume of the objects. But, I also realize that this would have added a dramatic touch which most probably was unnecessary to the scene. Anyway, it is a very pleasant image to look at, and I think that it is among the best images in the series.

Very original. You seem to lend a watercolor feeling to some of your Vue scenes. Maybe it's the use of colors and light, I'm not sure, but there's the same feeling, IMO. Which is a good thing, different from the rest of the images out there. Technically, this looks great. The textures are wonderful, POV is good. Of course, maybe there is too much ambient light, as said before, but then this is part of the image, in this case, so I think it's allright. I also dont like the rose very much. The centerpiece, with all those details and colors, looks wonderful. As to the meaning of it all... I must admit I'm a bit lost.
