Description

I saw this egret and he ok if I driveing but the moment I stop he takes off flying. I in my truck and shooting out the window. I keep on doing this for he would just fly 100 yards away. This was my best one of him. Most do fly away if you get close to them. This was at Lake Martin thanks for the comments and votes on all my images.

the feet nearly touching and the toes fully extended...the wings outright and feathers open like parachutes to slow the descent... I like the mood of this AND the sight I see. Good capture.

That's okay, my friend, I know exactly how you feel. Not only birds, but cats, dogs, opossums, insects, etc., they all fly or run away when I'm all set to snap the shutter. Only butterflies remain still and pose for me. Anyway, cool capture of the egret spreading its wings and taking flight in Lake Martin.

Very good, especially considering the conditions! The egret is a beautiful bird even when his feathers get ruffled. The little bit of water with his reflection makes this an excellent capture.

Wow, you caught him perfectly -- and NO one's giving you a bad time about taking pix while you're driving!!! I saw about 10 of them on the side of the freeway last week, but there was no way I could stop, they're such beautiful birds!!
