This is the second of two Poser pieces I did to illustrate a newspaper article on the plight of war children and child soldiers. Given the sensitivity of the issue, we were having problems persuading any of the survivors our reporter spoke to to allow us to take their pictures, and so I created this as a back-up. Because some of the editorial team felt Warchild I clashed with the intent of the story, which focussed more on children as victims of war than as child soldiers, I created this image, of which I'm much more proud. In the end, we found a very striking and appropriate AP photograph to illustrate the story, and neither of my warchild images appeared in print. I created the reflection map in Poser using RDNA's Microcosm 2, DAZ's M3, Desert Soldier bundle, M1 Abrams, UH60 Blackhawk and Particles 3.1. The rifle and Mike's pose is from Panko here at R'Osity. For the final image I used V4.2 with the Grace character and deepblue's Eye Maps Generation 4 (all from DAZ), loaded my custom reflection map and ran face_off's Occlusion Master script before rendering.
