Description

Another in my ancient ruins series, this time an ancient water labryinth in a kingdom similar to the Mayan. The walls and jaguar decorations were first created in photoshop, imported into the terrain editor and rendered in a medieval wall photo from cgtextures.com.The moth is a renderosity freebee I've had saved for a long time, and the sky and distant hill material are customized bryce presets. Thanks for viewing and previous comments!

Cool! Might want to see if you can give the jaguar cut-outs a little more rounding, so they look less like puzzle pieces, though. And if you really get ambitious, maybe individualize the decay on each one.

Very well done detailing, Neil. I especially like the thick ATMOS and shadows on this one.

Thanks for the comments geirla! I was going for a sense of these being made out of the same bricks as wall, thus a squarer shape, and I have done some decay work on some of the heads, but now I think I should make these differences a little more obvious...thanks again for your input, much appreciated!

Certainly an image that would represent our dear Bryce very well. Very well elaborated. Congratulations.

Neil, this is excellent, very different from your usual sci-fi renders so it's good to see you trying something distant. Great modelling of the jaguar decorations and I like the haze towards the end of the passge. Excellent shadowplay on the walls and I like the addition of the btterfly, this is a fav for sure. Tony :-)

Very nice work! It is an excellent embodiment of the three major things I consider good in Bryce: Depth, Atmosphere and Texture Well done.
