Description
I took this image at Peel Beach on the west coast of the Isle of Man on a bitterly cold March afternoon last year. The colouring was just so beautiful, I couldn't resist getting out of the warmth of the car and into the blistering wind to take this image.

I know the Isle of Man well ... I did my final Teaching Practice at King William's College in Castletown, so I lived there for a couple of months. I've also holidayed there [at Port Erin] a few times when my children were kids. I do so enjoy islands - they have a special beauty especially if approached by sea. This lovely photograph with the pastel-tinged clouds certainly reminds me of one of the island's many mood. Bravo [I know those cold March winds!] Mike

Oh, I heard my grandfather speak about the Isle of Man often when I was very young. He said it was like no other place. I think he was right from looking at your photo. This is absolutely gorgeous with its softness and its powerfulness both in evidence.

When I was very little and I saw a pink and blue sky, just like this, I asked my father about it. He said it was a gift of love from G0D....blue for all the little boys in the world and pink for the little girls. I never forgot that. Daddy passed away in 2004...but I'll remember him everyday until I join him!! Thank you for sharing this awesome image. It warms my heart!! Hugz, Robin
