Description

These young men I saw on the side of of the road at Lake Martin was going to fix they duck blind for use next year. They boat is a Pirogue [sound like peerow in American English] It small so people can get around trees easy. I did ask them if I can take they photo and they say yes . I did not use the one they pose but this one which is natural looking thanks for looking and comments

you can not go in this area of Lake Martin as the birds are back and nesting. You can when they not there.

Someone who knows what they are going can get along in a pirogue just fine but they sit so low to the waterline they worry me. One large man and a dog puts it right at the bailing point. :-) Good shot. I like the swampy feel with the green of the algae and the cyprus trees.

Yeah, that pirogue looks like you have to learn it young or you'll be in the water when you didn't plan to. Very nice candid shot, my friend!

An excellent capture of the swamp and the duck hunters, who are in the act of setting up shop to blow away another one, or more, of our fine feathered friends. I hope all that effort is just for food.

this shows the possible quality from your Nikon.clarity and focus is right on the mark.the canoe is a strange one.I can imagine how hard it would be to sit on the 2x8 for a long time while rowing

Hope there is no Gators about, I don't think I would be game enough to be outside the boat, no matter how small ! The Cypress trees seem dead, maybe it's all that weed strangling them ? then again, maybe they are O.K., as I don't know much about swamps ! ~Cheers~

I don't know about chest high waders, I would want a suit of armour to be standing in there. No way would I get into that tiny thing either, sneeze and your in the sh1t. Excellent capture Jocko, I can't believe he is going to get in with the other guy, that darn thing is just tooo small. I see only one of them has waders on as well, I guess he has the hard part of the job, in the water. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

They seem entrapped by duck weeds left by widow ducks from last year.
