Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Yup. I took down 2 camphor trees and 2 apples trees in the last 3 years. Sad thing is, I cut it and stacked it but ended up giving it all away because I don't have any way to burn it. Last year it was tearing out the grass, putting in concrete walks and building the garden islands. This year I am hoping to take a break. I put up the windmill and I've done some planting but other than that I'd like to just live with things the way they are for a change. :-)

It's hard work just looking at it Marilyn, I used to say, 'I love hard work, I can sit and look at it all day. lol. At least you are recycling in a manner, and even the small stuff can be used as kindling. You have some wicked looking equipment there as well, I can even see some gloves? Excellent collage. Bravo!!!!!

I see you do love your 'woodworking' hobbies, Marilyn.

It's all smokeless fuels where I live ... I do miss the smell of wood smoke - I'd even put up with the hard work! Great stuff. Mike

I can appreciate the work having had 1700 plus apple trees on my acreage. I had planted them to help reduce my stress level: give me something to do. Boy did they end up giving me something to do....lol. Great collage..always enjoy the pictures.

Interesting collage on display here. Except for the chainsaw and shears, I'd say these photos were taken back in the 19th century, what with all the chopping, cutting, stripping, slicing, dicing, and pruning you're going thru. Since he started all this in the first place, Johnny Appleseed should have at least given you a hand with this chore.

There's these wonderful little fire places called chimnea's. They are free standing little things and fit well into small yards. They are lovely to look at and take the chill off the evenings so nicely as well as letting you use all that wood. There is no installing required, just place it and go!
